["individual use" appears on screen, then cut to the inside of a public library, as a male patron approaches a row of plush chairs and waves his library card in front of one (labelled "-01")]
[the chair then follows the patron as he walks through the stacks]
[cut to the patron pulling a book from the shelf, then he stops and the chair stops behind him, serving as the perfect seating spot for him to sit down and start reading]
[cut to the patron standing up, as the chair "turns on" and begins following him again]
[cut to the patron bringing his book to the front desk, and when he crosses an orange line on the floor ("Many of our customers need their privacy, therefore please wait behind this line" in Dutch), the chair automatically retreats back to its original spot]
["loading" appears on screen, then cut to one of the chairs automatically making its way to a wall outlet and "plugging" itself in to recharge when not in use]
["management only" appears on screen, then cut to a male library worker swiping his ID card over a row of chairs ("-01", "-05" and "-03"), as they activate and being following]
[cut to the library worker walking (while several more chairs are now following him), then he stops in an open area of the library as they arrange themselves in rows of four-by-three]
[cut to another male library worker setting up a podium in front of the chairs, as a guest speaker arrives and prepares to give a public reading]

From wordpress.com:

Jelte van Geest, a Dutch designer has created the most imaginative concept that I have ran across in some time. Take A Seat was designed for Openbare Bibliotheek Eindhoven, a public library in the Netherlands. You can check out the chair and it is literally there for you anytime you may need it. If only I could get one of these things to follow me onto the subway!
